How a number becomes a score.

We rate operators on what can be measured, and nothing else. This page lists every input, every weight and every rule.

Three rules

  1. 01No hand-set scores. A score comes out of the formula. There is no field for an editor to override it.
  2. 02No money in the formula. Commission is stored with the affiliate link, never with the measurements, so it cannot reach a ranking.
  3. 03Opinions are labelled. Review copy explains the numbers. Where we give a view, the page says so and the score is unchanged.

Pricing offers

Real value is the average result of taking the offer and meeting its terms with neutral play. It uses the operator’s own measured margin or RTP, so the same terms are worth less at a more expensive book.

Free bet (stake not returned) = amount × (odds − 1) ÷ odds × (1 − margin) × (1 − wagering × margin) − qualifying stake × margin Bet refund = the free bet value above × probability the first bet loses Deposit match = bonus − wagering × (bonus or bonus + deposit) × house edge Free spins = spins × spin value × RTP − wagering × winnings × house edge Result is floored at 0 (you can always decline) and capped at any max cash-out.

Red flags

Some numbers matter more than any average. An operator that trips one is marked on every page and kept out of “The numbers pick”, however well it scores elsewhere.

  • Holds only tier 2 licences (lighter-touch regulators, weaker recourse)
  • Resolves fewer than 70% of complaints
  • Takes 4 days or more to pay out in our test

Predictions

A pick is published only when our model price beats the best available market price by at least 3%. Once published its price is locked in the system; only the result and closing price can be added. Voids drop out, losing runs stay. We report closing line value next to profit, because over a short run CLV is a better guide to skill than results. See the full record.

How we get paid

We are paid by some operators when you sign up through our links. Payment never enters the score formula, and operators that do not pay us are ranked on the same numbers. Affiliate links are marked, and the same “Visit” button appears on every review whether we earn from it or not.

Safer gambling
